When you order a website, a reasonable question comes up almost immediately: how can you be sure the work is actually moving forward and the studio is doing what was agreed? To avoid a “something is happening, but it’s unclear what” situation, the client and the studio need a simple interaction system that keeps you informed about the progress.
This does not mean you have to visit the studio or constantly interrupt the team. We work fully remotely and interact online. Our primary communication channel is e-mail. It is convenient and practical: it does not depend on time zones or language, and it allows us to record all agreements in writing without losing details.
It is important to understand that a website is not built “directly on the internet” and it does not update in real time. The work is done locally, and changes become visible to the client only after they are published to hosting — on a temporary staging (draft) URL.
During the process, working versions of the website are regularly published to the staging address. This way, you can open the site at any time and see what is already done, what is being refined, and what has changed after previous edits.
This approach makes control simple and transparent. The client does not need to be in the same city — or even the same country — as the studio. We have built websites for clients in different countries, and a remote workflow with staged interim builds has proven to be the most convenient and reliable way to track progress.
