Sometimes clients ask: “Why should my website mention who developed it? I paid for it, so it’s mine.” This is a reasonable question, and we believe it’s important to explain our position clearly.

We are referring to a signature such as “Website development — Studio Domino.” We want to clarify right away: we do not insist on mandatory placement of such a signature. However, its presence or absence directly affects the project terms and development cost, so this should be discussed before the budget is approved.

In most cases, the signature is presented as a neat active link to the studio’s website and does not interfere with the user experience. If desired, the client may remove the signature or change its format — but these decisions are made during the project agreement stage.

For us, the signature is not just advertising. It is a statement of authorship and confirmation that the website was created by a specific studio with real experience and responsibility for the result. We treat our projects as part of our portfolio, and the signature is essentially a signature under our work.

The signature is also beneficial for the website owner. It shows that the site was developed professionally and has a real creator behind it, which increases trust among visitors, partners, and potential clients.

It is also important to note that today there are many fraudsters who add other people’s websites to their portfolios without any involvement in their creation. A developer signature on the website itself allows new clients to immediately see where and by whom the project was actually built.

In addition, authorship indirectly confirms the legality and originality of the website. No one signs plagiarized or stolen work — authorship always implies responsibility.

The conclusion is simple: a good website does not lose value because of a developer’s signature. In many cases, it actually adds trust and transparency.
